Old Lifeboat Station at Lizard Point

Old Lifeboat Station at Lizard Point

The Old Lizard Point Lifeboat Station at Polpeor Cove came into operation in 1914 and remained in service until 1958 when the new station at Kilcobben took over allowing larger lifeboats to be used.

This is the most southerly location in mainland Great Britain.
